File Requirements (PDF version)

Please follow these guidelines when submitting files in order to ensure the most accurate and quickest service possible:

1. File created in acceptable program:

    · Quark              · Acrobat PDF      · Publisher*
    · InDesign          · Illustrator            · Word*

    · Pagemaker      · Photoshop 

   
2. Include Fonts

    · Must provide printer and screen fonts
    · Only include fonts used in files
    · Only use fonts with Bold and Italic members,

      do not use the automatic formatting buttons

3. Include all images used

    · Photoshop Images:
        -Saved as tif, eps, or dcs as necessary
        -CMYK, Grayscale or Bitmap as necessary
        -Do not use color profiles or LZW compression
        -At least 300 dpi

    · Illustrator images:
        -Created correctly in Illustrator and saved as EPS
        -Placed graphics are either embedded

         (CMYK graphics only) or included with files        

        -Use CMYK or spot colors as necessary
        -Outline fonts if you don’t intend to make

         further changes or send font files 

4. Include printouts of file to ensure prepress understands how the work should look.

5. Always compress your files before sending them via email or to our FTP site. Use  Stuffit or WinZip to accomplish this task.
